YACHT CLUB FEES

The following schedule of fees has been revised as of June 2008.  Fees do not include 13% taxes.

WINTER STORAGE :

Minimum Charge:    $150.00 (boats up to 30 ft.)
Charge per foot over 30 ft. -  $2.50 per foot

NOTE:  LYC Personnel will measure length of boat

Fall Haul-Up:   $52.50 Minimum Charge for up to 30 ft.
Charge per foot over 30 ft. - $2.50 per foot 

Spring Launch:   $52.50 Minimum Charge for up to 30 ft.
Charge per foot over 30 ft. - $2.50 per foot

NOTE:  For haul-up or launch, for every half hour over 1 hour there will be a $25.00 charge.

 


 

SUMMER YARD STORAGE:

 

Boats:  $00.06 per foot per day.

Storage of empty trailers and/or cradles:    $10.00 per month.

 


USE OF SHED: (For use of shed for member's vessel repair, including electrical)

 

November 1st to February 28th                  $15.00 per day
March 1st to October 31st                          $20.00 per day

Deposit of $50.00 to book shed (this fee is non-refundable)

Furnace tank to be filled when work is completed and key returned.

Rate for Commercial use if shed is available, electrical included - $30.00 per day

NOTE:  Cleaning of shed must be done on removal of boat.  Cleaning of site must be done within 24 hours.  If not, a charge of $50.00 will apply.

 


 

EMERGENCY AND TEMPORARY HAUL-UP:

 

Members:              $75.00 Minimum Charge for up to 30 ft.
Charge per foot over 30 ft. will be $2.50 per ft.

Non-Member:      $125.00 Minimum Charge for up to 30 ft.
Charge per foot over 30 ft. will be $2.00 per ft.


 

USER FEES:

 

Small boat tie-up:                $5.00 per night

Members who do not have berth:   $105.00 (this includes use of Marina Facilities and three nights per season at dock)

Additional nights fees will be $10.00 per night.

Non-Members:   $150.00

Visiting Yachts:   Up to 50 feet $0.50 per ft. per night.
                           Over 50 feet $0.75 per ft. per night.

 


 

LAUNCH FEES:

Members:  $10.50 per launch.

Non-Members:  $12.50 per launch (launch fee also includes trailer parking for up to three days)

Additional Parking:  $3.00 per day for both member and non-member not paying user fee.

 


YACHT CLUB LIFT:

Boat in Shed:   $25.00

Removing Boat from Shed:   $25.00

NOTE:  In winter, boat owner is responsible for plowing of snow.

 

 


H.S.T.:
H.S.T. will be applied to all amounts listed in these regulations.

Liability for Damages on Yacht Club Property:  
Contract Between Lewisporte Yacht Club and Boat Owners;  The owner to be responsible for any damage done to their boat on dock, boat launches, wharf and trailer parking area.  "Statement of Acceptance of Responsibility Document" must be signed while using Yacht Club facilities.

Blocking for Winter Storage on Dock:
Boat owners are responsible to supply blocking and sufficient posting, which must be approved by Facility manager.  Owner is required to remove all blocking and posts from dock area after the boat launching.  Failure to do so will result in disposal by the dock employees.

Notice for Launching:
Dock personnel should be given at least two days notice for launching and haul-up.

Assistance for Boat Launch:
Boat owners to supply a minimum of one assistant to assist dock employee to launch or haul-up boat, or Yacht Club will supply at owner's expense.

Additional Moorings:
Additional moorings in the Marina are prohibited.

Waste Oil:
Owner is responsible for waste oil, disposal cost $0.25 per litre.

Cleaning of Shed:
Cleaning of shed must be done on removal of boat.  Cleaning of site must be done within 24 hours.  If not, a charge of $50.00 will apply.

Small Craft Safety Regulations:
All members are encourage to adhere to Small Craft Safety Regulations.

Tie-Up Rope Size:
The Yacht Club reserves the right to inform and enforce persons to use adequate size rope for tie-up as per Safety Committee regulations.

Double Berthing:
Double berthing is prohibited.

Subletting Berth:
Members who wish to help the club are encouraged to inform the Facility Manager and give him/her permission to sublet your berth to enable the club to raise extra revenue for the club.  This is purely voluntary on behalf of the berth owner and all seasonal costs still apply to the boat owner.

Modifications to Dock Facilities:
No modifications or alterations are permitted to dock facilities unless Facility Manager grants permission.

Tenders:
Tenders can be tied to main boat as long as it does not interfere with other boats as determined by the facility Manager.

Overhang:
Dockage at floating berth - maximum 10 foot boat overhang.

Inside Berth:
Inside berth at floating dock are for boats up to 22 feet LOA (including motor)

Visiting Yachts:
The fee for visiting yachts is $0.50 per foot with a minimum of $10.00 per night.

Arrears:
All unpaid balances must be paid before launch date.

NOTE:  Boats will not be permitted to be launched or hauled up if owner's account is not paid up.

Complying with Regulations:
Users of the marine facility must comply with the regulations as per the Facility Manager's directions.  Failure to comply will result in disciplinary action as determined by the Yacht Club Executive.

Priority List:
A Priority List will be maintained for all berths for members in good standing and published at the Annual General Meeting.

Selling Rights to Berth:
Members selling his/her boat cannot sell rights to berth.

Facility Used by Government Departments:
Facility used by Government Departments for training or any other purposes will be monitored by Management.

Parking Areas:
Parking areas will be designated for members and non-members.

Repairs to Boats/Trailers:
Facility Manager must be notified of any repairs to boats/trailers on Marina Property and approve repairs the he/she deems hazardous.

Fueling at Floating Piers:
No fueling at floating piers.  "Designated Areas Only!"

Trailers Used for Haul-up, Launch and Storage:
Boat Owners with boats on trailers used for haul-up, launch and storage, will be permitted to use their trailers for the next 5 years (until Spring of 2006) if they so desire.  However, no other boat trailers will be permitted to use yacht club facilities.

NOTE:  Trailer in this statement is defined as a trailer NOT licensed for use under the Highway Traffic Act.

Ramp #2:
New Ramp (Ramp #2) is reserved for exclusive use of the Travel Lift.

Ramp #1:
Boats to be hauled up using trailers NOT licensed for highway use, must use the Old Ramp (Ramp #1).  Fee for this will be $10.00 for launch and $10.00 for haul-up.
